We Don’t Have to Agree on Anything to Be Kind to One Another
Life… has been a little bit heavy lately.
A lot of us are being weighed down with new information, old information that’s new to us. We have learned how much we love to LEARN! And also we have learned that it is our duty to teach what we have learned and use this platform as an opportunity to do so.
Where is the LOVE?
We enjoy good, honest, real debates. We like to give the benefit of the doubt, and more than that, we like to try to understand another person’s POV. One thing we do NOT enjoy however is when people disrespect another person’s right to have their OWN opinion. Where is the LOVE, everyone?! We ask ourselves this question all of the time. How boring would the world be if there was nothing to debate about, learn from, and grow from?
Let’s make real change
To be truly passionate about any given topic is the first step of making real change where change is needed. We get being fired up and letting our emotions get the best of us. But we aren’t going to make any REAL changes by running our viewpoints into the ground. We as humans learn by watching someone else, listening to them, and trying to understand – not by having it shoved down their throat.
Our hope is…
…that we can learn to agree to disagree when it comes taco toppings; not fundamental human rights. May we all remember that we don’t have to attend every argument we are invited to. Sometimes the best way to stand strong is to back away, firmly yet kindly. We really don’t have to agree on anything to be kind to one another! Ah ha! There is the love!
